Recruitment of Volunteers
Since the first day, SPS has been faced with an ever-increasing service demand. To look after more people in need, SPS welcome more people to join us as volunteers. Those applying for volunteering may select between hotline service and the Outreach Elderly Suicide Prevention Service.
Active listening and a genuine concern could bring hope and warmth to those contemplating of putting an end to their lives. If you care for life and are willing to spend a small portion of your spare time on volunteering, we welcome you to join SPS with open arms.

How can I become a volunteer?

To become a volunteer of SPS, you need to possess a genuine concern for others and be ready to offer time and energy. Besides, you also require to:

be 21 or above;

be a good listener and willing to share the sorrows and sadness of other people;

spare time to serve at the required hours; and

serve for a period no less than 9 months following the completion of probation. (This is to ensure a proper use of resources.)
