About SPS

「Established in 1995, Suicide Prevention Services is serving people who are suicidal, despairing or in emotional distress by means of befriending and other services helping them to regain control of their emotions and the will to live on. We also aim at raising general awareness towards suicide and identifying ways in which suicides can be effectively addressed.

With effect from 4 August 2011. Suicide Prevention Services has been incorporated in HK under the Companies Ordinance (Chapter 32 of the Laws of Hong Kong) as “Suicide Prevention Services Limited”. Our service mission & the status of being a charitable institution remain the same, and we are exempted from tax under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance.」

為「生命熱線」籌款

許冠文全新棟篤笑<<男女戰爭>>

為籌募善款作本會運作之用，有「冷面笑匠」之稱的許冠文將度身炮製全新棟篤笑<<男女戰爭>>，於2012年2月10日作慈善演出一場，以笑聲呼籲大眾支持珍惜生命的工作。

是次演出由春天實驗劇團主辦，高志森兼任監製及導演，許冠文將在棟篤笑中笑談男女之大不同，傳授兩性相處之道，並以嬉笑怒罵演繹當今男女生活百態，大放笑彈之餘，亦為觀眾帶來積極正面的信息，宣揚兩性溝通妙法 - 用心聆聽、互相包容。

SPS brings you a different Halloween

– “Actions for LOVE 2011” charity campaign

“Grim Reaper” needs to take a break! There are around 3 cases of suicide in Hong Kong per day. Grim Reaper is having heavy workload due to the high suicide rate, so he decided to work with SPS in this Halloween to launch a charity campaign “Actions for LOVE 2011”. The Campaign aims to raise fund for SPS to support its suicide prevention works.

The Campaign will start from 28 to 31 October, SPS donation boxes will be placed in the retail outlets of participating companies.

Let’s take ACTIONS for LOVE during Halloween! Please visit the participating retail outlets to make a donation and you can get a limited edition tattoo sticker. Spread the words of love and join our lives saving actions!

「自殺」是一種不太被社會認可的死亡，「要說出自殺」對自殺者親友來說，實在難於啟齒。「生命熱線」推出一本聚合了九位同路人經歷的書冊---『一路好走－自殺者親友的哀傷歷程』，同路人於書裡真誠地剖白自己的喪親歷程、對至親的思念與懷緬，以及對生命的反思。我們期盼從他們的分享當中，可與各位有所共鳴、了解彼此的心路歷程及蛻變、以及體會面對逆境中的智慧。

《一路好走》寄語自殺者親友對已離世至親的深切祝願外，亦同時盼望親友能安好地走過哀傷路。除了用筆墨形容，本書亦加插了多幅本地著名畫家阿虫的插圖，讓讀者在閱讀文字同時，多一個空間去體會和深思。
